I have reformatted the card, reset the unit and uploaded the latest software version for the Hero 4, updating my GoPro.
Still the battery discharged over a 6 hour period.
Believing the problem was related to the battery, I bought two new replacement batteries, but the same problem exists.
Please, can you help me?

I contacted the team. They weren’t interested in what I had to tell them, so frustratingly had to start again with all the troubleshooting.
Despite advice given to others who have posted with similar issues, I could not get past Hazel Ann’s point that irrespective of a SD card not being fitted whilst the battery drains..,.... my card is not a recommended make.
I’ve given up! GoPro Plus plan has been cancelled and I’ll look for an alternative camera.
