Hero 3+ password issue
[ New ]Is there any way of them doing a factory reset or similar and then setting it up again? I’m going to have to explain it by text as well.
Thanks

A Wi-Fi password reset can be done. Here are the steps:
- From the HERO3+ update page click "Update your camera manually" below "Other Ways to Update" to begin.
- On the first page, enter your serial number and registration information and then click "Next Step."
- On the next page, select 'Wi-Fi Update Only' with the blue check mark and click "Next Step."
- On the next page, enter your new camera name and password.
- Follow the rest of the on-screen prompts to complete the rest of the update process.
Once done, proceed with the pairing process.
You may simply send them the URL of this page.
Thanks!

Re: Hero 3+ password issue
[ New ]Hello
I have followed all the procedi=ures as inidcated , wich are the ones posted on the GoPro site , but when I install the micro SD card back on the GoPro and star it, nothing new happens and the name and pass word remain the same.
No hard reset happens.
I have also tried the alternative of soft and wifi re-loading to no avail.
Any comments that can help me.......

Hi @windalec,
Please try this step by step.
Insert your SD card to your computer using SD card adapter.
Reformat your SD card.
Download the file or if you already have the file just copy everything inside the UPDATE folder.
Go back to your SD card.
Create a new folder named UPDATE.
Paste the files on UPDATE folder.
Remove the SD card.
Insert the SD card to your camera.
Turn on Camera.
Camera should turn on and off.
Password should be updated.
Please let us know.
Thanks,
-Jay

Re: Hero 3+ password issue
[ New ]This means NO UPDATING occurs.
Have checked Serial number several times.
Perhaps its because I am using a 16 MB Sd card when the pictures shows a 32 MB one. Querry
The files sizes fit the small card anyway

Ohh got it @windalec,
That's too small.
Please get an SD card at least 32 to 64GB.
