Hero 3+ Silver edition serial no. Invalid

[ New ]

Hi, I have a Hero 3+ Silver edition and am trying to register it against my GoPro account.  Yet it says the serial number is invalid.  Definitely have selected the right camera model from the drop down options, and definitely have input the serial number correctly.  Tried it several times.  Any ideas please ?  Thanks

"What is a siteseer label?" Good question, what is a siteseer label? Do you mean serial number? The unique number that identifies the camera?

Also, what are you referring to when you wrote, "Get your xxxx together."

What exactly is your issue? Are you trying to update the camera? You wrote that you, "want to set it up for the settings". You don't have to run an update to change the settings. The settings can be changed on the camera itself. If you want to connect to the app and need to change the wi-fi password, then you can do so by running a manual update. There are different procedures for updating depending on if you have a Hero3+ or a Hero3.
Hero3+ https://gopro.com/update/hero3_plus (Put UPDATE folder on SD card)
Hero3 https://gopro.com/update/hero3 (Put files inside UPDATE folder onto SD card)

The serial number can be found on a label in the battery compartment. It should start with H3...

Thanks @andyc25

That's weird. Let me send you a private message and can you reply with a picture of the serial number?

What is a siteseer label? Bought the camera, want to set it up for the settings, cant use it. I should have to wait for you to straighten it out before I can actually use the product I purchased. My time has no value...
