Just got a brand New Hero 2018 and have too many complications
1. the camera would not turn on even after charging for an hour (followed the instructions on the go pro site but was of no Use )
2. Connected the camera to my Laptop ,Red light flashed,So i pushed the mode button Camera started restarting on its own until i
disconected it form my laptop and went dead again
3. Two days Later connected it to a charger came On but no charge in battery 0% and still Not charging Nor allowing me to update Because the battery to low for update msg keeps showing up
Tried calling the go pro support hotline but got an automated voiceover saying there is a problem on their end
Have been reading through all the threads and i am guessing this is a major issue with this camera
I have been a GoPro User for the last 4 to 5 year now and Not once have i had issues like these on a brand new camera
If ur listing GOPRO Support Please Advise

Sorry to hear about the trouble, @j30. Without the battery in, does the camera power on when directly connected to a power source? If it does, the battery might be faulty and would need a replacement. If the camera will not power on, then it could be defective.
