Hero 2 Freezes

I haven't used my camera for a while because the original batter couldn't hold a charge. Once I got new batteries and charged it up. I turn the camera on but it freezes after a few seconds.

It had an SD card in it but it showed SD card error so I got a new SD card and there is no SD card error anymore however it still freezes.

I downloaded a new firmware to install following the instructions but the camera freezes during the install.

I'm not sure what to try next.

I will buy a new one soon but I still like to use this because it worked great.

Thanks Ryan. I have tried those and it didn't work unfortunately. I'll probably call support and see what they say.
