HERO7 Black | Water Damage [ ref:_00Do0HJuF._5003b1RhQOR:ref
[ New ]Hi,
I was using my new Hero 7 at La Jolla Cove in San Diego this passed Saturday (10/26), snorkeling and taking pictures of seals and fish, diving to a max depth of about 10'. About 30 minutes into my swim the back screen showed a sim card error icon. Then the battery level icon started dropping to 1%, then back to 40%, back to 1% etc. Then thin red, horizontal lines popped up on the screen. I tried to turn it off underwater and turn it back on but it wouldn't turn back on. When I got back to my car, I opened the battery compartment and water dumped out. Same with the USB/power compartment.

[ New ]@ryank207, sorry to hear about what happened. So long as all camera doors are closed, the HERO7 Black is waterproof down to 10m (33ft) without housing. We want to look at what we can do to extend our help. Please contact our Support team by phone or chat through https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs.
