HERO6 black line on the bottom of the screen.

Hi guys, ive got that black line problem on the bottom of the screen. It looks like quality of the video is not as great even in 4k, and camera is much slower (loading pictures and stuff). It os after ising it for 3 days only. Till now everything was perfect. I tried factory settings, ive got the app, it seems to connect but then i cant acces pictures or do anything on it. Help ASAP as im on holidays and would be nice to not to stress about it.

Sorry to hear about camera trouble while you are on vacation. It is the last that anyone would wish to happen. If you are referring to the black bar that appears on the screen while the camera is in video mode, that bar is normal. Have you already tried manually updating your camera? If you have not yet done it and if you have access to a computer, you can follow this link for guide. Also make sure that you using a recommended SD card as listed here. Hope this helps.

And you can't really record in any resolution, screen bearly can pick up with movements.

Put to the side use your primary or spare camera  then to   figure out how to fix what I done for years if I ever get in a jam have a back up

Hi guys, update resolved problem with quality and speed. I could swear that tjere was no black line before, but thats not the case anumore if uou saing that it was there. Playback on my mac doesnt show line. So problem solved.
One more thing; there should be some guidence thru connecting hero with app. As ive seen on forums it does cause problems, i had em too. In my case it was switching defult 5g network to 2.4g on hero and everything is perfect (im using samsung s6). Without it they did connect but didnt communicate (couldnt do anything). So maybe put the info as i couldnt see that advice.

This is great news! Thank you for posting back for an update. The black was not that noticeable because it is usually covered by the menu when the camera is set to Video and Time Lapse modes (screen is full and without the black bar when in Photo mode).  We do have the instruction to switch to 2.4 GHz from 5GHz in our help article for Solving GoPro App Connection Issues and in the manual . Good thing that you were able to explore into it though and resolve the pairing issue.
