HERO6 Mode Changes Automatic
[ New ]Hi,
I have hero 6Black, that I updated firmware due to issue of hilight tagging automatically starts and cannot be stop until it reached maximum tagging. So I manually updated the firmware as per gopro website process, and after that, the issue is still the same and on top of that, more issue occcured.
Whenever I shoot video and press shutter again to stop recording, it will stop but the mode will be switched to Photo/burst/timelapse. The mode button is not pressed because on standby mode nothing happens.
Another issue is that when I am at photo mode and other (except video) there is 2 black bar line on the side of the screen, which doesnt appear on video mode.. (please see attached)
I'm really frustrated and stressed now about my gopro :( I no longer have the receipt and it is out of warranty since it was purchased last 2017. This is not a waterdamage because it is very rare that I use it on water activity.
I already contacted gopro support, and they would like me to provide receipt for warranty, but again i can no longer find it since it was dated 2017.
Could you please please please help me with this :( This is the only camera that i have and i really like using it :(

Re: HERO6 Mode Changes Automatic
[ New ]Can you make a video using your phone or other camera of the other issue and post it here?
Take the camera out of the housing and set it on a table.
1st test: With QuickCapture Enabled, Only press the top shutter button. Wait about 10-15 seconds and then press the top shutter button again.
2nd test: Turn the camera on using the side mode button. Wait a few seconds and then press only the top shutter button. Wait about 10-15 seconds and then press the top shutter button.
Please also remove the SD card and show the front and back clearly in your video.
