Firmware 1.60: no split screen but freezes every 3-4 videos. Settings are auto 4k30 superview. 4k30 wide is fine. Did update via gopro app. Will try manual update later and play with other settings. Still not plenty of stuff to test with this update before conclusion.

I "think" you were pressing and holding the power button to start the camera (not sure). Just press it once quickly to start, when you

want to turn it off, press and hold the power button until you here the beeps.

@geekslayer, if you turn the sound on and listen to my video you will see it's a very quick press, is acually so fast that you can't even hear the sencond click (button release). I don't think i can click faster than this to be honest, and if that is the case than we have another problem here...

I Airways put the update folder on the micro sd To make the update.

Ok guys,

 

good news, the manual update seem to have fixed the issue!!!! Woohoo!!!! 

 

I can't get it to do the split screen anymore.... looks like it's a success!

 

NOTE TO SELF: do manual updates from now on...

Image stabilisation is still terrible in low light unfortunately.
