HDMI and usb port got wet [ New ]

Got my hero 6 few days ago and used it when we went on holiday 11/6/18. While having snack the camera got drip of salsa and I decided to wash from the tap. I let it dry, then after maybe an hour I decided to charge it and saw the camera is wet from inside. Water went in the port where u connect the charger. The door was completely shut. Is it really water proof? Now I’m afraid to take it under water if it can’r handle simple wash from the tap

Please put the camera in some rice or other dessicant. Yes, the camera should be fully waterproof. Are you sure you're sealing the door correctly? The interior rubber-lined door is the one actually keeping the water out, not the exterior door.

If you're sure its a faulty door, replacements can be bought or you can apply for a exchange. Maybe make a video showing you closing the door, immersing it in water, and showing the leak?
