Re: Gopro

What activities have you used the camera with?
How long have you had the camera?
What resolution/frame rate were you filming in?
What were you doing when the camera overheated?
What was the temperature outside of the camera?
Was the camera in its frame or waterproof housing?
How long had the camera been recording prior to overheating?
What SD card are you using (make/model/size)?
Is the camera on the latest firmware?
Where did you purchase the camera?
What steps have you taken so far?

Re: Gopro

Thanks for the info. It's strange that you would get overheating and then unresponsiveness. 30 hours is a long time for recording (maybe 3 hours?).

You could try trouble shooting and attempting to get the camera working again, but I think you should first just contact Amazon for an exchange.

A far as preventing overheating in the future, try to ensure the camera has adequate air flow around it and try to keep it out of direct exposure for prolong periods of time while filming. Yes, it is an action camera and built for outdoor use, but inside the camera is a powerful processor generating tremendous heat. Giving the camera a break every now and then so the heat has a chance to dissipate will ensure the longevity of the camera.
