Gopro said 24-48hrs for warranty response...still nothing after 8 days?!

My gopro was lost due to a housing failure and on the 11th a warranty claim was submitted by a representative. She said within 24-48 hours I'd receive an email.
So here we are 8 days later and NOTHING. I contacted the chat again and they can't see what's going on. They said I just "have to wait"
Is it unreasonable to expect a response within at least 4 days when I'm told 1-2? I'm going on a hike next week and wanted to bring my replacement gopro but it looks like I won't have it. I'm about to write off this company altogether and get something else. At least then I'd get Amazon's 2 day shipping and know I'll have it.
How do I get an answer from gopro??

Don't know how to edit but by housing i mean mount. It was in the mount (correctly) and still managed to fall out and disappeared down the cliff we were on top of.

I did open the chat yesterday and they said i can't talk to the team. They asked for a receipt which I provided but I believe I may have provided the wrong one (I got it from my mother who had helped my grandmother buy a few gopros for the grandkids, me included) but i don't know how to get the correct one to them!
