Re: Gopro hero (2018) not holding charge

Hi @grandsurf40056,

There can be different reasons why your camera's battery will be drained without you even using it. You may want to consider the following:

1. Power off the camera and Wi-Fi/GPS/Connections/Voice Command
2. Make sure it's being charged correctly. Using the cable that comes with the camera and a USB wall charger that outputs 5V and 1A.
3. Make sure that you do not overcharged the battery. Usually it may take around 2 hours if plugged in the wall socket or around 4 hours if plug in a USB slot in a computer.

Please be guided by this article in correctly charging your camera:
https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/How-to-Charge-the-Camera-Battery

Additionally, you should have anything between 1 hour to 2.5 hours of activity time in your camera depending on the mode that you are using. Please use this chart as a reference:

You can also do a manual update of the camera. Even if the software is updated, a manual update can resolve a lot of system issue. You can find the troubleshooting in this link, choose Update your camera manually:

I hope this helps. If not, you can always contact the support hotline: https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs

Thanks,
