Re: Gopro heating
[ New ]OK, so you're connecting to your Android device and the camera overheats. You get an (!) on the front LCD indicating that the camera is too hot for operation. Once this happens, you are not able to get a response from the camera. How long are you running the connection before the overheating?
Is your camera connected to a power supply while you are doing the transfer?
The camera can and does get hot, but it's not normal for it to overheat while connecting to wi-fi. If the camera is not connected to a power source, has good air ventilation, and isn't under direct heat (sunlight), then no, it is not normal.
Using your computer and a SD/USB adapter, do a FULL format of your SD card and run a manual update.
If you continue to have issues, contact the GoPro Support Team.
