Gopro app no longer working

The gopro app no longer works on my Samsung tab a, and Google play says no longer compatible with my device.

What is going on?

Hi @jimm10488

As per https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/GoPro-Mobile-Apps-Compatibility/ta-p/394353

Compatible Mobile Devices

  • iOS Devices (iOS 11 or newer)
  • Android devices running Android 7.0 or later(Tablets not supported)

Thanks!

Ej

It was working previously,  why is it not now?

And it is silly to have a app that works on small android phones, but not android Tablets!

That could be the Google play store doing that.

It's a common complaint online where the store just stops allowing you to install compatible apps.

I haven't seen a 100% working solution for it other then installing the apps manually using the APK.

You can try this: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7513003?hl=en

There are sites online that host app APK files including GoPro.

Thanks. The app is still there but doesn't run. I will try to find a copy of the app file and install that, but I wondered if a update of the app had stopped it working on my tablet.  Still works on my phone.

Works fine on my Sansung Tab A 2019 (Android 9)

But like I said, it's a common issue with the Google play store.  Reboots and cache flushing works sometimes.
