Gopro TradeUp

Hello everyone, so I ordered gopro hero 7 black through the trade up program on 10th of June ffwd to 17th June they received my old camera (hero 4 session in mint condition), so add in 14 days for them to ship it....on June 28th receive email from gopro apologizing for the delay with added promo code and free shorty mount on next order as well as a complimentary upgrade for my current order to express shipping,saying they will ship out within a few days....well a week later aka today still nothing.....

 

So what's the problem, look I don't need your promo codes all I want is the camera, do I really have to drive to Netherlands myself to pick up my camera or what......and no I wasn't charged yet ( you may ask, so what you're so worried about?) well they have my old camera, so 100 euros robbed + I constantly have to monitor my bank account, so it doesn't drop below 340 euros.....why make promises (rules) you can't keep up with...

 

The same day I ordered my camera, I also ordered some accessories, well the shipping time was 3 days and they even arrived a day early, so the problem deffinitely lies within the trade up program.....I just want to get noticed and rather give me an sd card with an extra battery, than the constant promo codes.....

You posted in the right place. Although, this is a member to member support forum, so there isn't much we can do for you. Apparently GoPro had some technical difficulties, but it is back online. Support Form al lthis . not going to get a camera f rom support forum any quicker....  How things work that said

 

GoPro basically said to you, Back ordered and here are some free stuff.  Not good enough I guess.  then your Option was to sel lyour Hero session pay the selling fees and go to a store. but you would not get the 100.00 that was offered more then you could get  for the Session

 

 

 I say  wait.  Be patinet and  you will be happy when it arrives.

Once again fishycomics seems to think that we should be gratefull that GoPro is allowing us to buy one of their cameras.  I have no idea what planet you live on or how you think it is acceptable for a company to sell you a product with a promise of 14 day shipping and then completely ignore their users for weeks on end without even being able to offer a deliver date.  Utter nonsense from you.  Lot's of us have purchased these for holidays leaving ample time (6 weeks for most of us) contrary to your comments in other threads.  Do GoPro pay you to troll threads that are negative rowards the copmany and have a go at those who post?

 

GoPro's response of "cant give you a refund as systems are down" and "you cant get your traded-in product back" are simply shocking as well.

 

I have 0 cinfidence in the copany and even less in their customer service reps who seem to like to fob you off time and again.  Emails with promisses of imminent shipping with free upgrades to expres delivery have turned out to be nothing more than lies.

If this was a standard non-tradeup order thing I would’ve requested a refund a long time ago…yep still waiting…spoke to support twice, ‘yeah we have fixed the system problem and are waiting for the courier to pick up the packages…’ lemme chat with them today and see what lie will they tell me now…probably that the courier’s car exploded…even Ebay support is better than this…

So I shall re-read again  https://shop.gopro.com/tradeup nothing said of 14-days o nthe page so I  went to the terms  (see below). And All I get out of it is out of stock  it can be over, and  they can modify. no where can I find 14-days   SO maybe it's a Over seas thing on the WWW  while USA is different?  I thought they had 14 - days to process   not from the time you order to your house Lol  so yeah what planet are you from?

Terms + Conditions

The purpose of the GoPro TradeUp Program (“The Program”) is to offer and provide a trade-in option for eligible digital cameras with an original retail value of at least $99.99 USD, as determined by GoPro in its sole discretion (collectively “Eligible Used Devices”). The Program is valid from May 7, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PDT and will continue until GoPro terminates the program in its sole discretion. Applies only to purchases of HERO7 Black and HERO7 Silver cameras (collectively “Eligible New Devices”) made on gopro.com and delivered in the United States. You are eligible for the discount shown during your checkout process. GoPro reserves the right to modify the trade-in value offered for Eligible Used Devices during special promotion windows and has no obligation to offer those price adjustments for purchases made outside of any promotional windows.

Upon completion of checkout for the Eligible New Devices, your payment method will be authorized and a prepaid shipping label will be sent to the email address provided. Your payment method will be charged the amount shown at checkout, and your Eligible New Devices will ship only after your Eligible Used Device is received by GoPro and determined to be a qualified digital camera. Your Eligible Used Device must be received by GoPro within 45 days of completing the checkout process. GoPro is unable to process the trade-in of multiple Eligible Used Devices in a single transaction. If you wish to trade in multiple Eligible Used Devices, you must check out each purchase in a separate transaction on gopro.com. In the event that your order contains multiple items, the additional items will be held until your Eligible New Device is shipped. GoPro reserves the right to cancel or deny any orders that do not meet the eligibility requirements.

You must be the owner of the used device—the Program is not valid on stolen property. Retailers may not participate in the Program by returning in-stock inventory. GoPro will determine authenticity at its sole discretion and ineligible devices may be returned at your expense. You must use the shipping label and follow the guidelines provided by GoPro and GoPro’s third-party shipping provider. GoPro will not be liable for any loss or damage to the used device while in transit. Once you have shipped the Eligible Used Device to GoPro, GoPro cannot guarantee its return to you. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to remove all personal data from your Eligible Used Device before shipping to GoPro, including removing any memory cards. GoPro is not responsible or liable for the removal of your personal data or memory cards and any memory card(s) sent to GoPro within your Eligible Used Device will not be returned to you by GoPro. Trade-in transactions are final; after you trade in your Eligible Used Device, you cannot get it back. Upon GoPro’s physical receipt of the Eligible Used Device and processing of the full payment for the Eligible New Devices by GoPro, title and ownership in the Eligible Used Device transfers to GoPro and you disclaim any further right, title or interest in and to the Eligible Used Device or any items (including without limitation memory cards) or data contained therein.

The Program is non-transferable and cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts or promo codes, or applied to previous purchases. No cash alternative. Subject to availability, while stocks last. Offer void where prohibited. GoPro’s standard terms and conditions presented at point of sale shall govern any purchase. GoPro reserves the right to change or modify the Program without notice, at any time, and in its sole and absolute discretion.
