Gopro Hero 8 not showing in windows explorer/cant import

[ Edited ]

I have no sd slot on my pc. Imports and shows in explorer on my laptop. Both are windows 10, but I need the pc for 2/4k footage. I've uninstalled device, reinstalled, downloaded newest version of Quick, rebooted, updated all drivers (were up to date) accept "other devices" which has "system" and "usb". I dont know if maybe thats the issue, but it wont let me update, just says windows was unable to install your system. It shows in device manager, but thats it.

-its Not the cord

-Not the camera

-Not the usb ports

-Not outdated drivers

-works fine on laptop

-shows usb plug on camera display when plugged in

Any ideas?????

Re: Gopro Hero 8 not showing in windows explorer/cant import

Hi @ericm83443

Please go over the steps on Camera is Not Recognized on Quik for desktop - Windows

If connecting the camera via the USB cable, launch Quik, plug the camera then power it on.

You may also try the steps on this thread: https://community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Hero-8-Windows-10-can-see-the-device-but-won-t-cooperate/m-p/...

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!

Ej
