Gopro Hero 8 Black footage flashes purple and white then freezes in frame for the rest of the video.

Unsure whats going on with my camera, first time bringing it snowboarding and it ruined all the shots i took that day.  super dissapointed with Gopro.

@mteuton1995, using SD cards that aren't recommended can cause issues like freezing as the card isn't fast enough to write the content, the camera getting hot or battery consumption is higher than normal as the camera stays in an active mode trying to sync to the card.

Please check if you're using a recommended SD card brand and model.

If your card is on the list please install new camera firmware manually: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/How-to-Update-GoPro-Cameras

Make sure to follow manual firmware update.

I'm using a Scandisk imageMate PRO 128GB,
why would a memory card cause this, I would think it was a sensor. but I didn't see my card listed under recommended cards. I would like to know the reasoning behind it.
