Gopro Hero 8 4K Linear Mode [ New ]

Assuming no stabilization is used when using the GoPro linear mode in 4K it is still a sensor crop correct? Wide is the only "true" 4k mode? Or did they design the sensor differently?

The video itself will have 4K dimensions in 4K linear, but there will be a slight crop on the sensor to dewarp the image. So, looking at the file dimensions, 4K Wide, Superview, Linear,... All will have the same dimension. But the image itself will be different do you the crop. In general, the best setting is wide.
