Gopro Hero 7 has water in it

[ New ]
So I was swimming with my gopro hero 7 white and found that I had forgot to put the removeable SD card door back on it, so water was in side it. I took it out, removed the card, and shook as much eater out of it as I could. I am currently having it dry out on my car dashboard and plan on also putting it in a bag of rice. I have not removeed any parts from the camera except the SD card door. Is there anything else I can do to fix the problem of water being stuck in the camera?

Hi @gingy585

If it was used in salt water, we do not recommend putting the camera in a sack of rice.

This is to avoid salt residue build up.

Let our Support Team take a look at what happened and provide you options.

Please reach out to them by phone or chat through https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs

Thanks!
