Gopro Hero 7 Black - underwater

Hello,

When I use the camera (without housing) underwater, my touch screen goes crazy. Enables random options. Can I shoot a movie under water watching a scene?

How Can i do this?

When it activates the screen lock, the message that covers 1/4 of the screen appears and disappears.

Helo me please.

Przemek.

Hello @przemyslst8886. The messages appearing when the Auto Screen Lock is ON should be fine. This means that they do not interrupt the recording that is going on. Those messages appear especially in shallow water where there is a high chance of moving water (due to wave or splash). It is best for the Auto Screen Lock to be on to avoid accidental changes to settings.

Hi @przemyslst8886,

That suggestion above is good.

However the screen should not have random touch.

I just want to know how deep is the water when it started to happen?

Please let us know.

Thanks,

-jay

Re: Gopro Hero 7 Black - underwater

The depth is not more than 1 meter. It is always.
The messages that appear are: "Auto exposure", "Spot meter", "Locked exposure", "X", "V".
When I turn on the "Auto screen lock", the messages appearing and disappearing are: "SWIP DOWN TO UNLOCK" and "Tap to unlock" (1/3 of the screen is a message).
This is very irritating and it is very disturbing in recording.

Best regards

Hello

Can I disable "Auto exposure" option (or mesagess) in settings of camera or in other method?

Best regards

Re: Gopro Hero 7 Black - underwater

Auto exposure and messages cannot be turned off, except with lock screen and/or using certain Protune settings.
