Gopro Hero 7 Black HDMI output delay
[ New ]I connect my GoPro Hero 7 Black to HDMI monitor, no matter what resolution is, there is a 2-3 seconds delay when the frame rate is between 24-60 fps. 120 fps and above is pretty much real time. That's wierd. I think it's a firmware issue, please fix it as soon as possible thank you!

Re: Gopro Hero 7 Black HDMI output delay
[ New ]Sounds good, @aragon1006.
We use our Hero 7 Blacks for professional live streaming and broadcasting and experience exactly the same issue.
Looking forward for a fix ASAP, thanks!

Re: Gopro Hero 7 Black HDMI output delay
[ New ]I tried some setting combination. The different output mode makes tiny impact.
Turns out switch off the stablization will make the delay down to 2-3 seconds.
So It's basically a hardware performance problem that GoPro cannot manage to output via HDMI and real-time calculating the supersmooth stablization.
Also, the direct streaming from Gopro via WIFI/hotspot having about 30 seconds delay. I think it could be the same/related problem here.

Re: Gopro Hero 7 Black HDMI output delay
[ New ]Yep, I just tried turning off stabilization and the lag went to basically zero (in 1080 - my monitor battery died before I could try 4k). Hope there's a firmware fix. I'd settle for sending out a non-stabilized image to HDMI. I actually managed to get it to do that at one point by unplugging the monitor's HDMI cable while stabilization was off, turning stabilization on and then plugging the HDMI cable back in. I think. Again, battery died. Will try again later. Yes, I could dig out another battery, but the leaves are calling, unfortunately.

Re: Gopro Hero 7 Black HDMI output delay
[ New ]Spent some more time testing. Definitely the HyperSmooth affecting the lag. Turned off everything else that might affect performance (wifi, etc.), and still bad lag in all resolutions that support HyperSmooth with it on. Turn it off and no lag, even when everything else turned back on.
