Gopro Hero 5 Session battery issue

Hello,

I've had a Hero 5 Session for a while now, purchased via Amazon just under 12 months ago. I've been having a few problems with it for about 6 months.

The first main issue is that the camera gets very hot after about 10 minutes of use, so hot that holding it in my hand feels like I've dipped my hand in petrol and set it alight. I also have the issue where by the battery doesn't seem to last very long, I can charge the device after use, leave on my desk and the next time I use it the battery is completly flat and requires a charge before use again.

I'm aslo having to reset the device rather often as it sometime doesn't responsed.

Are these know issues and is there anything I can do to correct these problems?

Thanks,

Jamie

Re: Gopro Hero 5 Session battery issue

What SD card are you using? SanDisk Extreme v30 (with v30 printed on the card), Samsung Pro, and Lexar 1000X perform best.

Make sure your card is on this list

Reset the camera by opening the menu and scrolling to EXIT. When you see EXIT, can hold down the shutter until factory reset appears. Choose yes. Next, download the manual update and install the firmware (even if you are on the latest firmware) on a new, or newly formatted, SD card.

Hopefully that resolves your issue. If not, you'll need to reach out to the GoPro Support Team
