Gopro 7 black battery issue, draining faster.

I purchased a Hero7 Black yesterday 26/01/2019. Charged it last night. Doesn't charge fully it was 97% and start draining faster. Second time I charge it was showing 90% after 3 hour's of charge then Took a few test pictures and 15 sec video, it seems that camera is getting hotter and draining faster. Is it normal behavior for new gopro 7?,. How can solve this issue.

Re: Gopro 7 black battery issue, draining faster.

Hello @greencreek63582. If you have not done it yet. run a manual firmware update on your camera. The steps below will guide you through the process.

  1. Go to the Update page and choose your HERO7 camera.
  2. Under "Other ways to update" at the base of the page, click "Update your camera manually."
  3. Enter your Serial Number and other requested information, click Next Step.
  4. Click "Download Update."
  5. Click "Click here to download firmware."
  6. Follow the steps on the screen for detailed instructions for your operating system.

Make sure that the camera is charged to at least 50%, and that the SD card is formatted prior to the update. Save any footage that you have first so as not to lose them when you format the card. Let us know how it goes.
