I try to get a higher resolution when I get the live preview video stream via HDMI cable. For example, I set up the resolution as 1080p, I hope that I can get the real-time1080p via HDMI cable when I shoot the video.
Below is my camera configuration:
Default Mode: Video
HDMI output: Live
Based on my experiment, I can only get 640*480 for the live preview video stream no matter what the configured resolution is ( I tried 4k,2.7k and the output is always 640*480).
Do I miss something to configure it or is there any way to get a higher resolution for live preview?
Thanks for any kind of help!

Thanks for reaching out. HDMI output supports live preview of up to 1080P 60 fps output when the camera is idle and up to 720p when the camera is recording. Output of up to 4K (via HDMI) is supported only for playback for recorded media. Check out this article for more information about this.

Thanks for your help.
Could you please tell me more details about how exactly I can get the quality as you said.
Right now. when I turn on the power and press the shooting button, it begins to record a video as I configured (4k,2,7k,1080p...). I just wanna get the live video as I am recording via HDMI cable. As you said, the quality should be as high as 720p for live preview, however, all I can get is 640*480(480p). So how to get the 720p? and how to get 1080p/60. Could you please show me more details about the configuration setup to achieve that? I already read the article before the post.

@aenriquez when idle means the camera is not doing any recording. However, in this way (I just turn on the power and do nothing), the resolution is still 640*480 via HDMI cable. Nothing changed. Could you please show me how exactly to get them? Thanks
