GoPro video longer than 60 seconds WITH GAUGE DATA OVERLAYS

How do I make a GoPro video longer than 60 seconds WITH GAUGE DATA OVERLAYS? Quik limits me to 1 minute. I have seen workarounds, but they are cumbersome and require a separate GPS tracker. I want to use the GoPro data built in to the file.

Re: GoPro video longer than 60 seconds WITH GAUGE DATA OVERLAYS

I GOT IT! I had to click the scissors icon for "Create a clip". Now it's in my folder. Common sense once you know it, but I had no idea.

You guys got me started, thanks!

Hi @markj48742

Yes you can using Quik for Desktop.

If you're not planning to cut or edit the file in create mode.

What resolution are you shooting in for starters.

1080/60. What does that matter?

Also, it's in "Create mode" that you put the gauges on, how do I put them on without create mode?

Older topics here had some notes about video resolution. Why I asked. You should be able to edit your whole 4gb chapter. lol to se if your start and end points are expanded to the whole clip

Re: GoPro video longer than 60 seconds WITH GAUGE DATA OVERLAYS

I was sort of wrong. I can put the gauges on before opening it in create mode, but I can't see a way to download it with the gauges on. It gives the option to upload it to youtube or facebook or open the .mp4 file, but the .mp4 file is just the original file with no overlay. I am fine not being able to edit it, I can do that in Resolve easily.
