GoPro hero 7 black

My husband gave me a hero 7 black for our anniversary. Really excited I had an older version of GoPro that needed a waterproof cover.
I read that this one you don’t need it and you could go up to 33 feet’s. Saw you sell a super suit for it.. do I need it or not? Very confused..
Please advise if I should buy it.
Thanking you in advance.

Re: GoPro hero 7 black

Hope you have fun with your GoPro Hero 7 Black, it's an amazing camera to be sure.

The GoPro Hero 7 Black is waterproof up to 33ft/10 meters.

If you plan to go deeper than that, then you will need to use a supersuit.

If you are planning to do any cliff diving etc. I would also recommend using a supersuit.

Re: GoPro hero 7 black

Awesome to hear you got a HERO7 Black! There are only two "Needs" for this camera:
1) The correct SD card
2) A charger that meets these requirements

@irishmanpdx addressed the waterproofing perfectly, so no need to rehash that. The only thing I'd add is that it's best to Lock the rear screen when using the camera in water (you can access settings on the front LCD by pressing the Mode and Shutter button). Also, as water pressure increases at deeper depths, while the camera remains waterproof to 10 meters (33 feet), the pressure can effect the buttons. So really, for anything more than regular swimming/free diving (to about 10-15 feet) you should consider the SuperSuit.

GoPro Plus allows for up to two camera replacements a year for any reason, so it's certainly something to consider as well. Along with the camera replacements, you also get 50% off most accessories and unlimited cloud storage of GoPro media.
