GoPro hero 5 session "sd card full" error

So I've used my brand new GoPro once, it worked well for about 25 min. Now it won't charge fully and keeps saying my sd card is full, so I can no longer take videos. I've erased all data and even cleared the trash on my pc. I've also done a lot of research on how to fix it and can't find anything that actually works. Very unhappy with this product thus far being that I've spent well over $200 for not even an hours use.

Re: GoPro hero 5 session "sd card full" error

Hey @andrewg6651,

Have you had a chance to get that camera updated? What SD Card are you using?

I would start by making sure you are suing a recommend SD Card from this list:

https://gopro.com/help/articles/Block/microSD-Card-Considerations

If you already have one of those run a manual update here:

https://gopro.com/update/hero5_session

Let us know how that goes!

Best,

Ryan

Re: GoPro hero 5 session "sd card full" error

Using the rear power/mode button, access the menu and scroll to Exit. When you get to EXIT, hold down the top shutter button until factory reset appears. Preform the reset and then run the manual update with a newly formatted (full, not quick) SD card.
