GoPro hero 5 black leaking?

Mine leaked too. In about 20 cm water, all compartments closed and in metal frame.

Guy at the camera shop said almost half that he has sold has needed to be sent back. Go Pro has intially said to me they won't be giving warranty on water damage but Ill certainly be pushing for it.

Now is is obvious. 5 have serious water issue. Question is why GoPro didnt announce that and work on FIX???

I have exactly the same issue. The second time I took it underwater (no more than 1 meter deep and all doors and hatches were properly closed) and the front LCD got full of water. I contacted support and they answered me: "Water damage is unfortunately not something we are able to cover under warranty". What??

As many people had the same problem, it must be a problem with the design of the gopro. 

It seems that it is not waterproof and I should not only get a replacement but also a housing.

Exact same problem here, i will be taking it back to place of purchase today. Pretty poor so many cameras are having the same issues.

It's bad to hear about leaking problems. I received my GoPro as a gift from my uncle for Christmas and now I am embarassed if try to use it when skiing and underwater "naked" or buy waterproof casing, because I'm not sure If he kept the bill in case of unknown.
Does any mod know broken cams percentage?

Will they actually replace the camera of fix it? I got mine and even though it is advertised as waterproof up to 10m, I'm afraid of using it underwater if the response from GoPro, as stated above, is, that water damage isn't covered under warranty.

NO they do not fix or replace my camera, they saying I absurd the camera because there are some scratches on the lens cover. This is nonsens! The lens cover is also of bad quality
