Not knowing: SDXC card what is it? Did you format it in your computer first? was it purchased online? Your camera may have a hic cup, and needs reflashing, if that does not clear up your issue, I return the camera at the store get a new one, and before I ever update I try it all out first. then I will update.
You also can try your best to contact gopro.com a Holiday here today Memorial day, Sales may be open, support may be closed? and try calling, try chatting. forget emailing. and see if they can talk you thorugh some steps may take a hour of your time, .I suggest try formatting and using a high speed card,
