GoPro Quik does not detect my GoPro Hero 9 and files can not be used[ New ]
I plugged in my go pro hero 9 and Quik doesn't find my GoPro, even when the camera is on. So I tried to import my files via a micro sd adapter. This worked and the card was detected by Quik. Only the files aren't usable for editing software (Davinci Resolve). The files are mp4 but the wrong encoding, but this worked before. Therefore, I figure there must be something else wrong.

What's wrong is that you're trying to use out of date software (Quik) which has been discontinued for quite some time now, is no longer supported and hasn't been updated in nearly 3 years at this point. While you're at it, why not just install Windows 3.1 on your PC?
So #1, stop using Quik.
As for connecting your GoPro to your PC, did you make sure the GoPro's USB settings were set to MTP? (media transfer protocol as opposed to GoPro connect which is used for webcam mode)?
If DaVinci resolve isn't recognizing your Mp4 files, it's more than likely they were encoded in HEVC format. So you'll need to buy the codec from the Microsoft store, it costs 0.99 cents.
