Okay,
I am quite sure this has been asked many times, but why in the world would GoPro limit the video export to 60 seconds? I paid a preminum price for a product that I have used since the Hero 2. Now you make your users use a 3rd party software to build videos longer than 60 seconds? I mean, I can't even figure out how to quickly get the GPS gauges to work on some of this other software.....I totally get that your business model is the GoPro hardware, but you are making wish I spent the extra few hundred dollars and just went with the Garmin.
I would like a technical and or a business reason why the Quick software is so limiting. This is the 3rd GoPro camera I have owned, so I think you guys need to change your stance on this.

Hero 2, Hero 4, and now Black 7....and like 15 batteries. ;)

Good response. NOT!
I did figure out that if you do NOT use the create mode, you can make a video longer than 60 seconds. Not many normal users know that. So, sorry about the tone of the post, but you might want to consider the average user of your Quick software is NOT someon that wants to be on your commericals.
That said, I would request that a feature be added to added additional clips to the current open clip.

GoPro is a relatively small company with less than 1,000 employees world wide. Most of their resources are focused on hardware, cloud, and mobile. It doesn't make sense for them to dump resources into desktop software, especially with so many free options available. Why would you want to use an editor made by a camera company when you can use much better software created by companies that focus on editing software as their core business? Because it has GoPro in the name?
Gauges are simple to add to video. Just edit the individual clip and add the gauges. Alternatively, you can add them in the GoPro app, or with Dashware (GoPro software) or RaceRender.

Thanks guys for the response. I didn't realize this was members forum and sorry for causing "social drama". That said, I am a experienced user of iMovie and Devince Resolve. To be honest with you, after this post of frustration I did figure out that I can post a clip (longer than 6 seconds) to YouTube. Just don't use the create feature.
Again, thanks and hope I didn't come across as an ass. I really like GoPro and what they have done for the dirt bike community.
