GoPro Max waterproof housing and other resolution options?

Hi, GoPro team, so far, i really enjoy the 360 camera, easy to use and footage quality is amazing, but

1. any chance you will release the waterproof housing for the Max?

2. for hero mode, can we get 4K or 3K 60fps updates in the future?

3. for 360 mode, can we get slow motion option? (at least it's a sport camera, we need this)

4. any raw photo option in the future?

thanks!

Re: GoPro Max waterproof housing and other resolution options?

GoPro are currently working on a Waterproof housing, however they still have to sell enough Max units to justify the cost of design and production.  So be patient and you may see an option.

2. for hero mode, can we get 4K or 3K 60fps updates in the future?

Unlikely due to hardware constraints and math.  If the total resolution of the camera is 6K (which after stitching is 5.6K) that means each camera sensor is only 3K max.  To use Hero mode not only are you only using one camera (3k) but you are also cropping the image which results in a lower resolution again.

3. for 360 mode, can we get slow motion option? (at least it's a sport camera, we need this)

Probably not as this would exceed the hardware capabilities of the camera.  Remember the camera is already using it's processing power to film 2 scenes at the same time, stitch them and write the information to 1 memory card.  So it may not be possible to get 5.6K @ 60FPS while writing to a single memory card.

4. any raw photo option in the future?

Possibly.  GoPro support have hinted that there will be "an exciting update in the coming weeks".  Whether this is a firmware improvement for the camera or a reframe player for Windows, they are not saying much.  So again, patience and see what happens.
