GoPro Max Battery failed to be recognized by the associated camera[ New ]
I got the MAX from a bit more than a week ago, additionally with a second MAX battery.
What I saw today made me sceptical: when putting on the camera, I received a message stating that I should use a MAX battery for optimal performance. Which doesn't make sense since I
I used for the last few days, both MAX batteries (the one included with the camera and the additional one) without too many issues. So, I wonder if any explanation could be given regarding that message? Is there any need to return a defect product or even more important, could the battery explode due to some defect?

Please run a manual software update. https://gopro.com/en/us/update
Once the update is completed, reset the camera to its factory settings. https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/Reset-Camera-Settings/ta-p/388279
