I purchased a Hero7 White (I know everybody says it's a crap to avoid, but I only need a practical budget camera for underwater footage, no fancy stuff) a few months ago.
I haven't uaed it for 2-3 weeks and I realized yesterday the battery was empty. I plugged it to charge but still, the battery level has always been staying at zero %, no matter how long the camera remained plugged.
The camera still turns on, I'm able to film and shoot photos, but only as long as the GoPro is connected to the charger or a USB port.
It's very annoying, because I'm away from home on a remote island and there's no way for me to bring it back to the customers service. And there's no store where I can replace it with a new. I'm only glad I 'm not facing that kind of issue with a Black model. But I still hope there's an easy way to solve this problem.

Go into preferences and Factory Reset the camera. If possible, perform a Manual update. If it doesn't resolve your issue, you'll need to contact the GoPro Support Team https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs
Good luck with your camera.

I tried to plug the GoPro to my laptop and this time it worked, even though it took more time as usual. At least I can use it. I'm relieved. I won't have to travel far away to find a repair store.
Thanks for your support anyway
