GoPro Hero5 black wireless connection problems


My GoPro’s wireless connection has always been unreliable but now it is not working at all.

I have followed all the instructions for connecting my phone to the camera with the wireless and i have done so in the correct order. However my phone doesn’t seem to find the device and I get a message on the GoPro app that states “No GoPro Detected”.

So far I have reset the cameras factory settings and deleted the camera and tried to re-install the camera on the app, the latter is not working anymore.

I have followed some other instructions from the GoPro website to install the latest firmware using the micro SD card and that has not sorted out the problem.

I am in Abu Dhabi, is there any place I can take the camera to get technical support?

@peelio - Is the wireless signal from the camera turned on, and are you seeing the signal from the camera in your wifi listings in your phone's settings?

Hi Jefft,


The wireless symbol is displayed on the front screen if the GoPro but my phone doesn't find the GoPro signal.


In the GoPro App "No GoPro Detected" comes up, and when I open the Wi-Fi screen in the iPhone settings section there is no GoPro wireless to connect to.
