Sorry, new user question. How do I turn off the beep and access other settings in the camera like ProTune? The manual is no use. It tell me about the settings but does not indicate how to get there. I have gone through all the menus and only see:
- Photo Mode
- Camera Settings
- Stabilize Video
- Voice Control
- Connection Settings
- Exit Menu

Then we have a "Chicken and Egg" problem. https://community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Unable-to-find-gopro-hero-5-black-via-bluetooth/m-p/21226#M96...
The App does not connect to the camera.
I am curious...where on the box does it say that an Apple or Android device is required to make these things work? I bought a "camera" and am now dicovering that I also needed to buy a Phone to go with it? This is a crazy lame business model.

I am having the same exact problem... and I am incredibly frustrated... and I do have an iphone (though it is I guess old at this point, however as stated it shouldn't be necessary as it doesnt say it is an iphone or android accessory but it is a camera) but the connecting almost never works on the iphone app and when it does connect it wont let me do any setting changes or anything I just can see what the camera sees. I then downloaded the computer application to try and see if I could do anything there and it doesn't seem to have anything either. Has anyone figured this out??

Here is a photo of me controlling my GoPro through the app
See that wrench on the right side? Press that. You'll go into a menu. Scroll down until you get to this.
Set "Beeps" to "Off"

Thanks for posting. I'm sure it will help some of the community members. Unfortunately, I think that for some of the people posting on this thread their issue is that they are using devices that are incompatible with the Capture app. I completely understand the frustration, however the only viable answer to using the capture app with the camera is getting a device that will run Capture in its entirety.
For those unable to get Capture to work, there are third party apps that will work with the camera. If you search the post here or just Google it, I'm sure you can find it. If post a link but I'm not on my computer that has the bookmark.

Not saying that you're wrong. But I remember seeing the following image on the packaging saying you can access "All Modes + Settings" through the app or remote. But then again if the camera doesn't even connect then what's the use

Page 28 of a manual for the Hero 5 session. did you not see that or read that, may have overlooked that. so I believe what you are asking can easily been answered by glancing into the manual
