Greetings everyone. This would be my first time writing on here and this is also my very first GoPro.
I have finally received my GoPro Hero 5 a week ago as my brother had got it for me from the overseas.
I have tried connecting the GoPro to my Windows 10 PC previously to transfer over a couple of test shots from the camera 3days ago and it was a success. As I tried to connect it once more again to transfer over photos/videos, the pc did not recognize any usb connections from the gopro at all. (including pressing the mode button as well)
I have also just updated my GoPro hero5 to the latest fimware (01.55) manually as I had not been able to connect to the Capture App as I just only found out that my GoPro Hero5 does not have a Name OR Password and is both left blank while only showing the current firmware version under the "About this GoPro".
I have tried to connect to the capture app using the guides posted by gopro but I am unable to connect to any device as it states "Wi-Fi Not Ready, Try again later". I have taken the communities advice to reset the connections but to no success on being able to connect to the wifi/capture app.
Would really be in need of help as I am clueless and pretty worried if the gopro would never be able to connect to the Capture App at all.
Cheers in Advance, &
Merry Christmas :)

@anselmm21681 - Welcome to GoPro and to the GoPro Support Hub! There are a couple of things that might help you get your camera connected to your computer that I can suggest.
First, downloading and installing our Quik for Desktop software at https://shop.gopro.com/softwareandapp/quik-%7C-desktop/Quik-Desktop.html will make importing your content really easy. Once it's installed, if you connect your camera to the computer using the cord you got with the camera and turn your camera on, Quik should recognize your camera and walk you through the import process.
Second, you can also download your content directly from the SD card. If you have a card adapter that allows you to insert the card directly into a port on your computer, you can download the files that way.
If you need more details on how to do either of these processes, please let us know. And feel free to reach out to our Support team directly at https://gopro.com/help/PKBContactus any time if you need help.

Thanks for the reply help! :D
I have already installed the Quik desktop app but it still is unable to detect my Hero5 Black. Hmmm
Any idea on why would the GoPro not have its very own Name OR Password for the wifi connection tho?
I am able to transfer photos via the sd card reader method that you mentioned and the only problem would be the fact that I would not be able to use the Capture up to update the software or use any of those features that comes with the app. Any idea why?

@anselmm21681 - Are you able to go into the menu and do a factory reset? From the main screen, swipe down and select Preferences. At the bottom of the list is the option to do a Factory Reset. This will return your camera to its original settings.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please reach out to our Support team at https://gopro.com/help/PKBContactus and we'll try to figure this out with you.

It looks like I'm having the very same problem with my GoPro Hero 5. So, I followed the steps above ,did factory reset and nothing worked.
Did you figured any solution for this problem? I'm looking forward for your response..
All the best :)
