GoPro Hero3+ authentication failed. Incorrect password

Hi all, 

 

So my Hero3+ Silver has stopped connecting to my Samsung S8. 

 

I've tried reseting the password via the micro SD card and updating the firmware in the same way.  All I get on my phone is the "authentification failure" message.

 

If I try to connect to the camera's WiFi using my new password, it tells me its incorrect, the same as with "goprohero".  

 

I've tried fogetting the network and reconnecting but its to no avail.

 

Please help, I'm ready to chuck it up the road!!
