Re: GoPro Hero session 5 not turning on/not charging
[ New ]Hello folks i had the same problem here i had a go hero 5 session , and i try almost everthing, even change my microsd card. press many butons, i tried many combinations od all stuffs and read lots od advises here. the only solution was update manualy my firmware,
first off all let your camera cool down and lose all batery. then put to charge in charge wall. then you need see if its heating. if is heating please let cool down and try again.
1- so enter in site of go pro, and search update manualy you will register your camera and download the update.
2- unzip your file that your downloaded and put in a folder named UPDATE.
3 - insert your micro sd card in pc ( just microsd card) format your microsd card. and put the folder update.
4- your camera need to be charged like 1 hour more or less to put the microsd card.
5- you shoul pay atention in the litle scream need apears the update 2/2 . and should apears the check mark. ( in my camera dont apears the check mark and start a red light flashing and heating again i took the micro sd card put in pc again and checked if the files was modified then i put it back). and by itself works again very well and i´m enjoy my camera.
i know its confusing my explanation, i tryed som many stuffs but pretty much like this i have done. i just know thatits good always format your sd card. because the camera has a kind of progamation to prepare your sd card, and if the camera dont need to do this starts to heating, of doing nothing.. in all times when you format your sd card, you kind of force the camera to do something basicaly. And works the charging and the update.
(another tip is that. i was afraid that the heating cand damage my camera so i just close de camera and put in the watter and, cool do )
i hope had help and all of you get your cameras works,
the curiosity is i had same problem....

Re: GoPro Hero session 5 not turning on/not charging
[ New ]Hi,
I have tried almost anything, such as press any button. I have also tried to update the camera manually. I have downloaded the update file, unzipped it and put it on the micro SD card. When I insert this card in GoPro, nothing happens.
Any Idea?
Best regard

"try holding the back button down ten full seconds, then hold the back button, while pressing the Shutter for a good ten seconds,. remove sd card. and retry the buttons." (ffishycomics)

Re: GoPro Hero session 5 not turning on/not charging
[ New ]@Anonymous - We have some steps to try at https://gopro.com/help/articles/Solutions_Troubleshooting/HERO5-Session-Will-Not-Power-On. If you have another power supply and/or USB-C cable you can try, that would be a good first step to see if those might be the issue.
Thanks,
Jeff
