GoPro Hero Session Firmware Issue

Hi there,

I Last used My GoPro Hero Session to record some mountain biking with some friends approx 2 weeks ago. Since then I tried to use it again last week, having fully charged the night before and inserting a new micro sd card, I went to record again. only to find that once I had turned it on (first time since being fully charger) it turned off after approx 2-3 seconds stating battery low and continued to do so.

Any help from GoPro would be much appreciated, wether to repair the defective Hero I currently have to upgreade to the Hero 5 Session.

Thanks

Re: GoPro Hero Session Firmware Issue

The camera is well past warranty. From your description, it sounds like a SD card issue (if there is an error the camera can get stuck in a card check that drains the battery).

Remove the card and charge the camera again.

Turn the camera on with the rear mode/power button
Once on, press and hold the top Shutter for about 12 seconds until it reboots

Perform a full format of your card in your computer (not Quick)

Your card should be on this list

You can get the manual firmware here

The Session was released 5 years ago, so it's also possible that the battery has just reached EOL.
