Re: GoPro Hero 9 upside down with HL and Boost tilted the horizon by 45 degrees
[ New ]The orientation was unlocked and boost was off when I shot the video. It seems to be a problem with the HL lens choice.

Re: GoPro Hero 9 upside down with HL and Boost tilted the horizon by 45 degrees
[ New ]Hello @davek872 @fyfordf511 @modxuser @superbigtwig
This has been shared with the team.
We'd like to gather additional details, please:
- SD card used (Brand, model and capacity)
- Camera version
- Settings used
If you haven't yet, it will also help if you can share a sample file.
Thanks!
Ej

Re: GoPro Hero 9 upside down with HL and Boost tilted the horizon by 45 degrees
[ New ]I found that this is a problem even without HL on. I took a bike ride today with the Hero 9 mounted upside down. Here are the settings I used in video mode:
5K, 24 fps
Lens = Linear
HyperSmooth = On
Bit Rate = High
QuikCapture = On
Orientation = All
Sometimes the video would record upside down, sometimes it wouldn't. Do I need to turn Orientation = Locked while it is upside down, perhaps? With HL off, at least I don't get a cockeyed video and this can be remedied by flipping by 180 degs. HL is unusable if mounted upside down.
A representative video is located here: https://gopro.com/v/lrPQeKXamzM1E
Also notice in the video that the video is garbled around 7 seconds in towards the bottom. Another problem, I know, but nonetheless it is concerning. Anyone else seen garbled video like this?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: GoPro Hero 9 upside down with HL and Boost tilted the horizon by 45 degrees
[ New ]When I use the camera as a dashcam it's upside down, and opening the media in the GoPro Player (1.0.1.306) on a PC, it's upside down, but opening it with every other mp4 editor/player I have it's fine.
