GoPro Hero 8 Black erkennt Akku von Hero 7 Black nicht

Hallo,

Nils

Re: GoPro Hero 8 Black erkennt Akku von Hero 7 Black nicht

The Hero 7 and Hero 8 batteries are not the same, you can tell the difference by just looking at them.  The Hero 8 battery has a little blue tip on the end.

The Hero 8 battery also has a slightly faster discharge rate to support the extra power requirements of the Hero 8's advanced shooting.  So if you put a Hero 7 battery in a Hero 8, you will see a warning pop up telling you that not all functions may be available.  There has been no reports yet of any issues with using older (non Hero 8 batteries) but it's "possible" that an issue may occur if using the very highest quality settings and frame rates and hypersmooth.

Your camera (and batteries) are doing what they are supposed to do and giving you this warning.  Does that mean an issue will occur?  It's possible, but probably not that likely.
