I brought the GoPro Hero 7 Silver with me on holiday and discovered some diffuculties while using it:
- It froze multiple times while I was filming or trying to play back a video I recorded.
- After the screen froze, I had to hold in the mode button for many times until it turned off and restarted itself. There were moments that even pressing the mode button was useless and it didn't do anything.
- Sometimes it will restart out of nothing and freeze again.
- I had to update the time and date regularly, every time when it froze.
The SD card I use is sent by GoPro itself and I have also formatted it already. The camera is also updated to the newest version and a few days ago I have also updated it manually as it has been told on this website and to other customers. Yet it still froze when I turned it on.
I would like to know how I am able to fix this or if my camera is just broken.

I tested the camera without the SD card as suggested, and the camera works without freezing up. It seems that the SD card is causing the problem. Do you know why the SD card is causing the problem? However the SD card came as a gift from GoPro when I purchased the camera. So did I received a malfunction SD card from GoPro then? The brand of the SD card is SanDisk Extreme UHS-I.
