@duanem8 - "A mechanical gimbal won't (& can't) eradicate the up & down movement you get from walking"
Eh, are you telling me that EIS can eradicate up&down movements while walking?
Oh boy you are getting ready for a big surprise.
This is is frankly the only sane review I have seen so far. Pay attention to stabilizing performance...
The stabilizing performance looks very good to me. Gopro is not lying when they say gimbal like performance and I own and have owned quite a few gimbals. The only reason I need a gimbal now is if I absolutely need a straight horizon all the time. Can't wait to test the hyperlapse feature with a gimbal.

If the white and silver don't have the GP1 chip, will they have VIDEO+PHOTO mode back?
The Hypersmooth looks amazing, but as a scuba diver who wants videos and phots while diving I won't be upgrading my Hero 5 Black.
Also, how is the Hero 7 Silver better than the Hero 5 Black? No front screen, 2 MP worse camera, non-removable battery, same image stabilization, a lot less video options, not compatible with Karma/Super Suit, no protune... Seems like anyone who wants the silver should save $50 and get the Hero 5 Black.

Another lukewarm response.

With $100 off the Hero7 Black with the trade up program, $299 for better stabilization, audio, and photos makes the Hero7 Black an easy buy for me. While I think it's great GoPro is offering choices for people with the "Good, Better, Best" options if the White, Silver, and Black, I'm pretty sure there majority of sales will be with the Black with the White and then Silver coming in far behind.
