I have some random issues with my GoPro Hero 7 Black that I purchased on the 26th of January 2020. On some occasions there was a random red pixel that appeared on the screen during the process of recording of videos. It also does not connect to computers via USB cords and in order to transfer images and video I have to remove the SD Card and place it into an SD Card Reader. The screen and some some footage files (depending on the conditions) displays vertical lines throughout the video. Can a software/firmware update rollout be done to fix these issues?

Please try to reinstall the firmware of your camera.
Visit that website then follow manual firmware update instruction.
If that won't work, please contact GoPro customer support.

I contacted SUPPORT as soon as I noticed the issues, I also, went through all the steps that they and you suggested (factory reset, reinstalling the firmware, etc). The only thing I did not do was return the device.
