GoPro Hero 7 Black re-connection problems with iPhone app[ New ]
Just got my Hero 7 and tested it for the first time on Friday 29thSeptember 2018.
I switch off Wireless Connections on the Hero 7 in order to save battery power, I learnt that trick with the Hero 5. After the initial connection, between the Hero 7 and the GoPro app, I have problems re-connecting the Hero 7 to the app for looking at my clips and for adjusting the settings.
To re-establish a connection, I have to use the Reset Connections menu on the Hero 7.
Also the iPhone doesn’t see the Hero 7’s WiFi network
I’m expecting the Hero 7 to connect like the Hero 5, am I doing something wrong?

I've changed the Wi-Fi Band to 2.4GHz (it was orginally set to 5GHz) and so far it does look like the Hero 7 connects more reliably to the iPhone app so that you can change the settings of the Hero 7 or look at the clips.
It does seem to take a while for the clip to transfer to the iPhone app, eventhough the settings on the iPhone show that I ams connected to the Hero 7's WiFi.
