GoPro Hero 7 Black Crashes
[ New ]I'm experiencing crashes/freezes with my 1 week old Hero 7 Black. It seems to freeze when I have got the camera on, attached to a selfie stick and have swaying by my leg after I have recorded something as you would naturally do if you weren't using it at that moment in time and didn't want to turn the camera off.
I bring it back up to start recording again and the rear display is just a frozen image of the floor or whatever it last was looking at when it froze. I hold the power and capture button for numerous amount of seconds and the camera turns off, after that I can't turn the camera on for a couple of mintues, which is seriously frustrating as I just spent £320 on a brand new camera which constantly discovering issues.
My camera is upto date with the lastest firmware, I did it straight out the box.

Re: GoPro Hero 7 Black Crashes
[ New ]Things to try:
- Check your SD card and make sure it's on this list
- Try a second card if possible
- Perform a manual update with a formatted SD card
- Download the manual update
- Extract the UPDATE folder to your computer
- Do a FULL (not Quick) format of your SD card
- Copy the UPDATE folder (not UPDATE.zip) to the SD card
- Eject the card and put it in your camera
- Power the camera on using the SIDE mode/power button
- Once completed, go to Preferences>Reset and Format the SD card in your camera
- Go back into Preferences>Reset> and factory reset the camera
- Set the camera orientation (found in the display settings) to UP
- Turn off Auto Low light
Let us know how it works out.
