GoPro Hero 6 - malfunction

bought gopro Hero 6 a week ago.

it doesn't even work during one of my dive, showing msg of "SD Card Busy", couldn't turn the thing off or do anything about it until i take off the battery on land and restart it.

the color is weird underwater even with the red filter on.

sometimes i could not turn it off too, i press on the button and the beep sound came out, but instantly it re-start again by itself.

have to take out the battery and put it on again.

while viewing the file, it is slow and always stop working.

is these normal??

Re: GoPro Hero 6 - malfunction

What SD card, make/model/size are you using?

Did you use the camera without the red filter? The Hero6 handles color differently that other cameras under water. You might need to manually adjust the WB or turn the color to Flat if your not liking the look.

The SD card busy, freezing, and slow viewing are most likely SD card related.

Switch to a different SD card, preferably 32-64GB and see if the issues persist. I've found Lexar 1000X, Samsung Pro Select and Samsung Pro+ are the most reliable. GoPro has tested and verified the SanDisk Extreme/Extreme Plus/Extreme Pro UHS Video Speed Class 30 (V30) 32-64GB as a working, good card to use (I personally have had too many issues with SanDisk over the years, so I don't use them).

You may need to exchange your camera if switching SD card doesn't help. Make sure when testing cards you fully format them in your computer first. Use FAT32 for 32GB cards or smaller and exFAT for 64GB or larger (most people don't need >64GB so save your money and get 32 or 64).

A new update for the Hero6 is scheduled to come out in November so it might fix some of these issues your experiencing as well.
