So I know all these videos and specs on the hero 6 camera are speculations as of right now but does anyone have any information on when we can expect to find out what is to come with GoPro. The past two big releases were done in September so I would think the time is coming soon to have a conference or release just so curious on what they have to bring to the table now. The anticipation is killing me here lmao

Dang, those specs look great.
I was hoping for optical image stabilization, but I'm curious now how well they managed to "improve" the digital stabilization of Hero5 with the use of their new processor. I'm also curious if Hero6 allows for on-camera stabilization of 4K footage (Hero5 does not). Not a big concern of mine since I don't shoot in 4K.
re Low Light:
Stoked that got a big boost.
This would definitely be a new feature if Hero6 allows you to touch the screen and digitally zoom. I could see that being useful.
re 1080p 240 FPS:
That's rad, but as I've mentioned in the past: GoPro really needs to add a "slow mo" filming mode where it comes straight off the camera in slow-mo. I suppose they could do something similar if you are using Quik... Quik could detect that you filmed at 240 FPS and auto slow-mo the footage.
re $499 price:
Seems steep if that's actually the price. But I guess I'd have to see the footage and wait for some reviews in order to determin whether or not its worth it to me.
My biggest dissapointment:
The lack of a Hero6 Session. I'm totally bummed if GoPro isn't releasing a Hero6 Session alongside the Hero6 Black. Perhaps it will be released early 2018.
My biggest confliction:
GoPro Fusion (5.2K 360 and/or 1080 2D w/ post-cropping abilities) vs Hero6. I imagine the Fusion would bemore expensive, but maybe not. I bet the Fusion was a big reason why GoPro moved away from their off-the-shelf chips to develop their own GP1 chip.

Remember that Hero5 and Session5 will remain in the line-up. Hero6 will enter the premium position. As for the price level of the Hero6, there might come an adjustment after a feew weeks/months like what happened to the original Session when it did not sell well.
Unfortunately there is no word on the audio quality side of things. Also, it looks like the possible bluetooth microphone feature a lot of people have been hoping for is still not implemented.

So the question of course is that, will the Hero6 be a valuable upgrade from my Hero5?
Being the GoPro nut that i am now, i intend to get this, though another part of me is saying that i better invest in the upgraded Karma Grip which is to be announced as well.
What do you guys think?
